Dock bumpers are heavy-duty shock-absorbing blocks fixed to loading bays. They protect the building’s concrete foundations and structural walls from severe impact damage caused by backing trailers.
Molded bumpers are solid rubber pieces ideal for light-to-medium loads, while laminated bumpers are made of compressed rubber strips under steel ties, built for heavy-duty commercial traffic.
Steel-faced bumpers should be used in busy hubs with air-ride trailers or yard tractors, where constant up-and-down trailer motion would quickly shred or tear down standard exposed rubber bumpers.
They are mounted using industrial-grade heavy mechanical expansion bolts driven into structural concrete bays, or welded directly to structural steel embedment plates cast inside the dock wall.
They must be stacked neatly on solid pallets in a dry area. Keep heavy attachment anchors in original weather-sealed boxes to avoid rust or chemical contamination before site installation begins.
Absolutely. All our dock bumpers meet international industrial standards (such as OSHA guidelines) and fully satisfy the durability and structural safety requirements of the Saudi Building Code (SBC).
