Application
Surface Preparation:
The substrate must be clean and dust-free. All contaminants such as friable material, grease, and oil should be removed completely to ensure optimal adhesion.
Mixing:
SpECtite ETA is supplied as a two-component pack consisting of a base component and a curing agent. The total contents of the hardener should be emptied into the base component and stirred thoroughly using a suitable spatula or a drill and paddle until a smooth paste, which is uniform in color, is obtained.
Application Method:
The mixed material should be applied to the substrate using a toothed tiling comb. The tiles should be pressed firmly in place using a twisting action to ensure good contact with the adhesive. The typical adhesive depth will be approximately 3-4mm. Remove any excess adhesive from the surface of the tiles with a dry cloth immediately.
Grouting:
The joints between tiles may be grouted using SpECtite ETA applied by a plastic spatula, working on a maximum area of 0.5m at a time.

SpECtite ETA can be applied to clean, dust-free ceramic tile surfaces as well as various substrates requiring high adhesion and chemical resistance, such as those found in food processing areas, swimming pools, and hospitals.
The pot life for SpECtite ETA is 8 hours at 20°C and 4 hours at 35°C. Full curing time may vary based on conditions but typically requires several days for optimal strength.
The maximum temperature for application is +35°C.

SpECtite ETA exhibits excellent chemical resistance against a variety of substances, including diluted acids, alkalis, oils, and fats. It remains very good in the presence of 10% Lactic acid, 10% Citric acid, 40% Phosphoric acid, and 50% Hydrochloric acid, among others, making it suitable for demanding environments where chemical exposure is a concern.
The typical adhesive thickness should be approximately 3-4mm.
