Application
Surface Preparation:
The substrate must be clean and dust-free. All contaminants such as friable material, grease, and oil should be removed completely to ensure optimal adhesion.
Mixing:
SpECtite ETA is supplied as a two-component pack consisting of a base component and a curing agent. The total contents of the hardener should be emptied into the base component and stirred thoroughly using a suitable spatula or a drill and paddle until a smooth paste, which is uniform in color, is obtained.
Application Method:
The mixed material should be applied to the substrate using a toothed tiling comb. The tiles should be pressed firmly in place using a twisting action to ensure good contact with the adhesive. The typical adhesive depth will be approximately 3-4mm. Remove any excess adhesive from the surface of the tiles with a dry cloth immediately.
Grouting:
The joints between tiles may be grouted using SpECtite ETA applied by a plastic spatula, working on a maximum area of 0.5m at a time.
