Application of SpECtite HP600 Primer
The application process of the SpECtite HP600 Primer is crucial for achieving optimal adhesion and performance. Below are the key steps and considerations:
Ensure that surfaces are sound, clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, laitance, and all other contaminants. Remove all loose material by stiff bristle brushing. For new concrete, allow 28 days to cure before removing laitance and applying the primer.
Cleaning:Remove dust, dirt, and loose chippings from the surface. Kill any fungal growth with a suitable fungicide and wash off thoroughly. Fill cracks and voids with exterior mastic and cut open felt blisters as necessary.
Application Method:SpECtite HP600 Primer can be applied directly from the can using a brush or spray. Generally, one application will suffice; however, some highly porous substrates may require two coats.
Moisture Evaporation:Allow for moisture evaporation before the application of the primer for effective adhesion.
