Application of SpECtop MF: Proper application of SpECtop MF is crucial for achieving optimal performance. Follow these guidelines to ensure a successful installation:
Surface Preparation:Grit blasting is recommended to ensure the removal of all laitance, grease, and oil. The resultant surface should be dry and dust-free. Cracked and damaged areas must be repaired with appropriate materials prior to application.
Priming:
Priming is recommended for SpECtop MF. Use SpECtop MF Base and Hardener at a rate of 7-10m²/L for sealing the surface. Alternatively, SpECtop Primer FX or Primer F1 can be used. If mechanical keying is required for the screed, broadcast MF filler immediately after applying the primer. SpECtop MF should be applied within 24 hours of primer application.
Temperature Range:
The application temperature range for SpECtop MF is a minimum of 10°C and a maximum of 30°C.
Mixing:
Mixing and application of SpECtop MF should be carried out by trained personnel. Stir the base component well, pour it into a mixing pail, and start mixing. Slowly charge the filler and mix for 2 minutes. Pour the hardener component into the mix and continue mixing for another 2-3 minutes.
Application:
Apply SpECtop MF to the pre-primed area, leveling it to the required thickness with a steel trowel and aided by a spiked roller. Ensure an even finish for optimal performance.
SpECtop MF is available in convenient packaging to ensure ease of use and application:
SpECtop MF is supplied in 12 litre units with a coverage rate of 6 litre/m² at 6mm thickness.
