SpECseal MS40 is applied using a manual or pneumatic caulking gun. It is crucial to ensure that the joint surfaces are clean and free from any contaminants that may hinder proper adhesion.
Preparation:
Before application, confirm that the substrates are clean, dry, and devoid of dust, grease, or other impurities. Avoid applying the sealant to wet, damp, or hot surfaces, as well as during inclement weather for exterior joints.
Smoothing the Sealant:
After the application of SpECseal MS40, the sealant can be smoothed with a finishing tool or gloved finger dipped in soapy water to enhance the finish.
Joint Dimensions:
For optimum sealing jobs, it is recommended to have a joint width that is twice the joint depth, with minimum joint widths of 5mm and a maximum of 30mm.
