To properly mix DOWSIL 3362 sealant, combine the base and curing agent in a ratio of 10:1 by weight or 8:1 by volume. Thoroughly mix until uniform, using an airless mixing system for optimal results. Avoid exceeding 11:1 to 9:1 by weight or 8.8:1 to 7.2:1 by volume for best performance.
DOWSIL 3362 can bond to coated and reflective glasses, aluminum and steel spacers, and a variety of plastics.
The working time for DOWSIL 3362 is 5–10 minutes, with a snap time of 35–45 minutes at 25°C and 50% relative humidity.
DOWSIL 3362 can be used as a secondary sealant in structural glazing, but it should not be applied for structural glazing of glass units onto a metal frame. For that application, DOWSIL 993 Structural Glazing Catalyst is recommended.
