Application of SpECtop Primer F1

For optimal results, follow these guidelines for the application of SpECtop Primer F1:

It is essential that adequate preparation is carried out prior to applying SpECtop Primer F1. This involves the thorough removal of all grease, oil, and loose material from the substrate. Any cracked or damaged areas should be repaired using SpECbuild repair mortars. Depending on the subsequent SpEC products to be used, it is crucial to ensure the primer is either tack-free or tacky before proceeding.

SpECtop Primer F1 is supplied as a two-component pack consisting of a base component and a curing agent. The contents of the curing agent tin should be emptied into the base component and stirred with a spatula until the mixture appears uniform.

The mixed primer should be applied to the prepared substrate using a stiff brush. Care should be taken to avoid over-application. If the primer is easily absorbed into the floor, a second coat may be necessary once the initial coat is tack-free.
