Usage Guidelines:
Before using NulliFire FR230, it is crucial to always read the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), pre-application guidance, and relevant application details. Ensure that the latest documents are downloaded prior to commencing any project.
Preparation:
– All substrates must be suitable, clean, and sound, free from dirt, grease, and other contamination.
– Consider the thermal expansion requirements of services at this point.
– Ensure FR230 will not be cast across a movement joint.
Installation:
– For floor installation, FR230 can accommodate an area up to 1.21 m² (or a maximum span of 300 mm x infinite length) when installed in accordance with a suitable Nullifire closer device (e.g., FP302 Intustrap or FS709 HP).
– Measure the opening size and service locations, transferring measurements accurately onto the FI140 50 mm Shutter Slab.
– Ensure compression by locating FI140 between the service and substrate 100 mm beneath floor level, completely filling the opening at that level.
– Flows easily around and behind services for effective sealing.
