Application
Surface Preparation
For optimal performance, it is crucial to prepare the surface adequately before applying SpECtite WS. Old Concrete
Surfaces must be clean and sound. Remove all oil, dirt, laitance, and other contaminants by water blasting. Water blasting is preferred for surface preparation as it mechanically cleans and roughens the surface, is environmentally safer, and leaves the surface saturated with water. The surface must be damp for the application of SpECtite WS crystalline waterproofing system concentrate.
New Concrete
After forms are stripped, acid etch or water blast to remove form oils and laitance as mentioned above. The surface must be left damp for the application of SpECtite WS crystalline waterproofing system.
Construction joints, cold joints, and non-leaking joints greater than 0.25mm wide must be cut in V-groove shape and filled with SpECtite WS crystalline waterproofing system in mortar consistency.

SpECtite WS resists chemical attacks by forming insoluble crystals within the concrete matrix, effectively sealing capillary tracts and preventing harmful substances from penetrating. Its formulation is specifically designed to withstand aggressive environments, including exposure to sewage and industrial wastes, ensuring long-lasting durability and performance.
The ideal application temperature for SpECtite WS is above 5°C.
SpECtite WS requires a minimum of 7 days of air curing before immersing the surface in water.
The coverage rate for SpECtite WS is 0.8 to 1.2 kg/m² per layer.
Full activation and effectiveness of SpECtite WS may require 2-3 weeks following application.
