Bituminous materials are primarily used for waterproofing foundations, basements, roofs, and bridges, as well as providing protective coatings for concrete structures against chemical and moisture attacks.
Bituminous coatings are liquid-applied layers that cure into a seamless protective skin, while bituminous membranes are pre-fabricated sheets rolled out and heat-welded for heavy-duty waterproofing applications.
Drying times depend on ambient temperature and humidity. Generally, a coat takes between 4 to 12 hours to become touch-dry, while full curing for backfilling usually requires 24 to 48 hours.
Standard bitumen requires a completely dry substrate for proper adhesion. However, we offer specialized water-based bituminous emulsions that can be safely applied to damp concrete surfaces.
Liquid products should be kept in sealed containers in a cool, shaded area. Membrane rolls must be stored vertically on a flat surface and protected from direct sunlight to prevent deformation.
Yes, our portfolio includes advanced water-based, eco-friendly bituminous emulsions that have ultra-low VOC emissions, making them perfectly safe for modern sustainable building projects.
