SpECbuild BA10 is an SBR co-polymer latex designed for cementitious mixes, providing exceptional adhesion and water resistance. It forms water and vapour resistant bonding coats and can be used to bond various materials like slip bricks and tiles.
SpECbuild BA10 modified mixes are non-toxic and suitable for use with potable water. Available in 20 and 200 litre drums.

For mixing SpECbuild BA10, use a concrete mixer. Premix sand and cement for one minute, then add SpECbuild BA10 and mix for 2-3 minutes. Add water little by little to achieve desired consistency. For small batches (less than 25 kgs), hand mixing is permissible.

SpECbuild BA10 can bond to concrete, steel, brick, glass, asphalt, and other substrates.

SpECbuild BA10 is applied by first preparing the surface, ensuring it is clean and free of contaminants. Next, a bonding slurry is prepared using 2 parts cement to 1 part SpECbuild BA10 and applied with a stiff brush. Modified mixes are then applied to the wet bonding slurry, and curing is carried out using polythene, damp hessian, or a suitable curing membrane.

The typical curing time for SpECbuild BA10 modified screeds is 24 to 48 hours, depending on ambient conditions such as temperature and humidity.
