Application:
Surface Preparation:
Prior to applying SpECgrout E12, it is crucial to ensure that the surface is clean and free from any contaminants. This includes removing dust, unsound or contaminated material, plaster, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposits, or algae. For oil and grease deposits, steam cleaning, detergent scrubbing, or using a proprietary degreaser is recommended.
Blow the cracks and the treated surface with oil-free air to complete the removal of all dust and loose particles. Ensure that the surfaces are thoroughly blown dry before proceeding.
Fixing Injection Packers:
Injection packers should be inserted into pre-drilled holes at appropriate intervals along the length of each crack. The spacing between each packer must be close enough to guarantee that the epoxy resin will effectively penetrate along the crack to the next point of injection.
The surface of cracks between the packers must be sealed using a thick band of SpECcoat BC, typically measuring 50mm wide x 2mm thick. In cases where cracks extend through a wall or slab, packers should be placed on both sides with back packers located midway between those at the front.
Injection Procedure:
Attach one end of the injection hose to the lowest packer for vertical cracks or to either end of horizontal cracks. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding curing times and process continuity, ensuring that all components are mixed thoroughly to achieve a clear liquid before injection.
SpECgrout E12 is available in convenient packaging options to meet your project needs:
Packaging:
– SpECgrout E12 is supplied in 1.5 litre packs.
– SpECcoat BC is available in 3 kg and 5 kg packs, yielding approximately 1.7 and 3.0 litres of mixed product, respectively.
