Product Application

Joint Preparation

The surface should be clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, or any other contamination. Thoroughly rinse the surface and allow it to dry completely before caulking and painting.

Application Steps

1. Clip off the tip of the spout at a 45º angle to the desired size.
2. Load cartridge into a caulking gun and apply using steady, even pressure to completely bridge joints.
3. Smooth the caulk using a Caulk Smoother or a damp cloth for a neat appearance.
4. Wipe away excess with a damp cloth before the surface skins over.
5. Protect from exposure to rain or water for 72 hours for adequate curing.

For Best Results

• Do not use for joints subject to heavy abrasion or wear.
• Prime bare surfaces before caulking.
• For a neat, straight bead edge, mask both sides of the joint with masking tape. Remove promptly before skin forms.
• Do not “overtool” the applied caulk, leaving too little caulk to perform, following cure.

Limitations

Apply only to clean, dry, frost-free surfaces. Do not apply when rain or freezing temperatures are expected. Protect from rain and exposure to water for 72 hours. Not recommended for use in marine applications, below-grade applications, or under-water applications. Not recommended for use on automobiles or aquariums.
