WATERSTOP-RX is suitable for a wide range of applications in concrete construction, ensuring effective water penetration prevention:

Vertical Applications:
  • Vertical concrete joints of 150 mm thick or greater.
  • Concrete with two rows of steel reinforcement.
  • Shotcrete foundation walls.
Horizontal Applications:
  • Horizontal concrete joints of 100 mm thick or greater.
  • Concrete with one row of steel reinforcement.
  • Slabs containing only wire mesh.
Special Situations:
  • High hydrostatic pressure situations.
  • Tie-back plates and penetrations.
  • Sealing around plumbing and utility pipe penetrations.
General Installation:

WATERSTOP-RX can be installed at all wall pour joints, slab pour joints, footing/wall joints, and can be connected with reinforcing steel to form a continuous waterstop.

The packaging details for WATERSTOP-RX are as follows:

  • RX-101: 30 m per box, 25 mm x 19 mm rectangular shape, requiring a minimum concrete coverage of 75 mm.
  • RX-103: 48 m per box, 15 mm x 10 mm rectangular shape, requiring a minimum concrete coverage of 50 mm.

CETSEAL and REVO-FIX are packaged separately.

WATERSTOP-RX requires a minimum concrete thickness of 150 mm for vertical applications and 100 mm for horizontal applications.
WATERSTOP-RX works by expanding upon contact with water, creating a robust seal that fills voids and cracks in concrete joints. This hydrophilic action prevents water infiltration and ensures a strong barrier against leakage in both vertical and horizontal applications.
To install WATERSTOP-RX, ensure the surface is clean and dry. Remove the release paper from the waterstop and apply a continuous bead of CETSEAL adhesive along the substrate where the waterstop will be placed. Press the WATERSTOP-RX firmly against the adhesive, ensuring there are no air gaps. Use REVO-FIX to secure it in place by nailing through lap joints. Maintain a minimum concrete coverage of 75 mm for RX-101 and 50 mm for RX-103. Pour concrete over the installed waterstop to complete the process.
For precast concrete applications, consult the manufacturer for product suitability and specific installation requirements.
WATERSTOP-RX is not intended as the primary sealant for chemical containment. Consult the manufacturer for guidance on chemical compatibility for secondary applications.
