SpECcord is utilized in various construction applications for optimal sealing performance. The typical uses include:

Application:
Size Selection:
The diameter of SpECcord should be approximately 25% greater than the width of the joint to ensure a tight fit, providing firm support for the sealant and ensuring the correct sealant profile.

Installation:
After selecting the correct size, install the cord by push-fitting it into the sealing slot using a blunt tool. Avoid using sharp objects or tools that could puncture, cut, or damage the cord.

Watch Points:
– If a primer needs to be used, apply it first and wait for it to dry before installing the cord, as solvents in the primer can damage the cord.
– After installation, ensure that the sufficient depth is maintained for the sealant as recommended by the sealant manufacturer.
– Do not cut the cord into halves or parts, as this will affect its performance.
